In October, Belgrade welcomed over 1,000 vets from 37 different countries around the Eastern European region and beyond. The first Eastern European Veterinary Conference (EEVC), organised by small animal veterinary associations from Serbia, Croatia and Romania with the support of BSAVA was declared a resounding success by delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and organisers alike.
Denis Novak, President of the Serbian Association and chair of the organising committee said, “This event has been many years in the planning and we couldn’t have asked for a better result. As a group our objective was to bring an educational event of the quality and scale available to our colleagues elsewhere in Europe at a price local vets could afford – we feel we have achieved that.”
Planning for next years event is underway, when the event will become known as The Eastern European Regional Veterinary Conference (EERVC) to better represent the very broad range of countries attending this event.
